BIOGRAPHY
Emma (Ruoyi) Li is a dominating force in Quebec pickleball and one of the few 5.0 female players in Canada. She first discovered pickleball at the age of 12 in 2017 and soon entered the competitive field in 2019. She is currently studying Pure and Applied Science and is looking forward to pursuing her study in Finance at university next year. While being a full-time student, she dedicates all her extracurricular time to pickleball and has since showcased her talent and ability. Since the beginning of 2023, she has been the youngest 5.0 female pickleball pro in Canada.
You would not be surprised to see Emma in every crazy podium photo, as she adds more and more medals to her collection. Notably, she finished top 5 for all events at the Kingston Nationals in 2022 and earned 2 bronze medals. She has been a 6x provincial gold medalist in 2023, including a double-gold at Magog Provincial Open and PBsport Open 5e edition. In addition, she is also a valuable athlete participating in several rally-scoring team tourneys. With a fierce backhand and a consistent third-shot drop, she helped her team Freeze to secure a silver medal at Picklefest and team Northern Rollers to rank overall 5th at CNPL.
Emma is sponsored by Selkirk Sports, Tyrol Pickleball and PB Sport. She is an outstanding player, coach, league organizer, referee and tournament director. She can’t wait to compete in the CPA Pro Tour!
